How much does my shipping cost and how long does it take for delivery?

Shipping to you is free for our 7-10 business day delivery. If you request a faster delivery (3-4 business days), there is an additional shipping fee that varies depending on the size and weight of the artwork you ordered. Regrettably, we are not able to pay for return shipping.

Is the art insured in case of damage or non-delivery by the shipping company?

Yes, your order is insured for the full amount minus the cost of shipping which cannot be recovered

Where is my Item?

If you placed an order on our website over 14 days ago and would like to find out the status, please send an email to galeriacaballitodemar@gmail.com and include your name, order number, and email address. One of us will reply with information about your order. Please remember that we are shipping original art from Mexico. Each package must be inspected by U.S. Customs which could delay the delivery date. We have no control over delays of this type.

How can I return my item?

Galeria Caballito de Mar offers either limited edition or one-of-a-kind art. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a partial refund or partial exchange credit. Please keep in mind that we are being as cooperative as possible. We are a small gallery that operates on very low profit margins. Our mission is to help Mexican artists have a sustainable life with stable working conditions. Regrettably, we do not have the resources to refund expensive shipping costs either to or from you.

If you decide to return the art you purchase, please follow these instructions:

1. Email: galeriacaballitodemar@gmail.com with your order number and specific reason for the return. We will get back to you to discuss your request. We will email you a Return Authorization number (RA#) and form to be filled out and included with your return, and a prepaid return shipping label. The costs for shipping both to and from you will be deducted from your refund which affects the refund amount.

2. Pack the artwork in the original tube or box with the completed Return Authorization form, along with the packaging materials and certificate of authenticity that were included in the original package. No return can be accepted without the proper paperwork. Artwork needs to be in pristine condition in their original packaging to qualify for returns.

3. All discounted and sale items are final and non-refundable.

My item seems to be lost or damaged; what now?

If your order is lost or arrives in unsatisfactory condition, we will respond within 2 business days after you contact us at: returns@galeriacaballitodemar.com. If your order has not been delivered in a timely way, we will investigate the problem and let you know what we discover and to arrange a resolution.

1. Take a digital photo of the damaged art and a second photo of the original shipping container.


2. Attach photos to your email: galeriacaballitodemar@gmail.com. Please describe the damage and leave a phone number and email for us to contact you.


3. Please keep the shipping container, all packing materials and the damaged piece for the shipper who will want all of these before processing an insurance claim.

Only the value of the artwork is insured. Shipping costs are not refundable.
